| Norfolk After our
move from Christchurch in 2006 we are now
settled into our new home and new life in the rural surroundings of
mid-Norfolk.
Being just 45 minutes from the north
Norfolk coast this has become a regular haunt, and places such
as Wells-next the sea, Burnham Overy Staithe, Morston Quay, Thornham,
Cley and Brancaster have all become favourite subject matter.
Further west the resort of Old Hunstanton
with its wonderful beach huts and sand dunes is always a delight to
visit.
The countryside is equally beautiful with
barns and farms somewhat reminiscent of those we came across
in France. Pheasants, partridges and other wildlife can often be
spotted in the fields around us.
At home we are learning a lot about keeping chickens, of which we
have eight. We even have two hens that were hatched at Vine Cottage
and are now grown up and are laying well for us!
